The Kyoto Light Core was designed as a serviceable part of the lamp rather than a disposable, permanently sealed light source. Promenade Lighting stands behind that design with the following transferable limited warranty.
Length of Coverage
This limited warranty has no stated time limit, subject to the terms below. Coverage follows the Kyoto lamp to its current owner when each new owner registers the transfer with Promenade Lighting.
What Is Covered
Promenade Lighting will repair or replace a Kyoto Light Core that fails during normal indoor use because of a defect or failure in any of the following core components:
- The COB LED light strip
- The light-core structure
- The attached JST-SM connector or its connection to the core
Repair or replacement of the covered light core is provided without charge for parts or labor. Promenade Lighting may repair the returned core or provide a new or functionally equivalent replacement core at its discretion.
Return and Shipping Requirements
The original light core must be returned to Promenade Lighting before a replacement is provided. Promenade Lighting will supply or pay for the return shipment of the original core. The owner is responsible for the shipping charge to send the repaired or replacement core from Promenade Lighting to the owner.
This warranty covers the Kyoto Light Core only. It does not include the lamp body, remote control, power adapter, interchangeable panels, or other components unless those items are covered by another written Promenade Lighting warranty.
Transfer to a New Owner
Coverage may transfer with the lamp. A subsequent owner must register as the lamp’s current owner through Promenade Lighting’s website or by contacting Promenade Lighting. Registration allows Promenade Lighting to maintain the correct ownership record and provide important product, service, and safety information.
What Is Not Covered
This limited warranty does not cover a light core that has been:
- Physically damaged, crushed, dropped, or otherwise subjected to abuse or misuse
- Modified, rewired, opened, or repaired by anyone not authorized by Promenade Lighting
- Exposed to water, other liquids, excessive moisture, or outdoor conditions
- Operated with an incompatible power supply or contrary to the lamp’s operating instructions
- Damaged by an external electrical event, accident, or condition unrelated to a defect in the light core
Normal cosmetic changes that do not affect operation are not considered a light-core failure.
How to Request Service
Contact support@promenadelighting.com with the owner’s name, the lamp’s order information or other available identifying information, a description of the problem, and photographs or video if requested. Promenade Lighting will provide troubleshooting and return instructions. Do not ship a light core without receiving return instructions first.
Additional Rights
This warranty gives you specific rights. You may also have other rights under applicable state or federal law. Nothing in this warranty limits rights that cannot legally be limited.
