The Natural Maple lamp gives the Kyoto design its lightest and most serene expression, pairing Japanese shoji-inspired geometry with the soft, creamy warmth of natural maple. The pale wood tone creates a gentle contrast with the translucent panels, allowing the architectural latticework to feel crisp and deliberate while maintaining an airy, understated presence. The result is a lamp that feels bright even when unlit and becomes especially inviting when illuminated, as the diffused LED glow quietly warms the surrounding maple tones.

Designed and handcrafted by Promenade Lighting, Natural Maple emphasizes proportion, symmetry, and restraint. Its tall vertical framework gives the lamp an elegant sense of height, while the repeating horizontal details of the roof and base provide visual balance and a distinctly architectural finish. Particularly well suited to Japanese-inspired, Scandinavian, Japandi, Mid-Century, and contemporary interiors, Natural Maple complements light woods, neutral textiles, and minimalist spaces beautifully. Illuminated, it provides a soft and welcoming source of ambient light; unlit, its clean geometry and natural coloration allow it to stand comfortably as a decorative architectural object.

Assembly required - To help protect its architectural components during shipping, your Kyoto Lamp arrives ready to assemble. Assembly takes approximately five minutes and requires installing only four screws. All required hardware and tools are included. Illustrated instructions and a step-by-step video are also provided.

Designed to Evolve

The Kyoto lamp was designed as a modular lighting system rather than a permanently fixed decorative object. Its architectural components can be removed and replaced, allowing different wall and translucent-panel designs to be introduced over time and giving owners the ability to refresh or personalize the appearance of their lamp without replacing the complete fixture.

A Note About Construction

Each Kyoto lamp is produced in small quantities using modern additive manufacturing and hands-on assembly. This process allows Promenade Lighting to create architectural details, modular components, and finish variations that would be difficult to achieve economically with conventional mass-production methods. Subtle surface characteristics associated with the manufacturing process may be visible on close inspection and are part of how each lamp is individually produced.

Full-Height, Serviceable LED Light Core

Instead of relying on a conventional bulb or a small sealed LED board, the Kyoto lamp uses Promenade Lighting’s removable, full-height 24V COB LED Light Core. Its continuous light source distributes illumination through the height of the lamp, while the surrounding translucent panels soften it into an even ambient glow.

The Light Core was designed to be serviced rather than make the entire lamp disposable. If the COB LED strip, core structure, or attached JST-SM connector fails during normal indoor use, Promenade Lighting will repair or replace the covered core under the Kyoto Light Core Transferable Limited Warranty. Coverage can transfer to a new owner when the ownership transfer is registered.

Group Control or Individual Control

When two or more Kyoto lamps remain unpaired, either included RF remote can operate all receivers within range. This makes it easy to turn on a coordinated pair or adjust both lamps from one location. If you prefer independent control, each remote can be paired with an individual lamp. The receivers retain their pairing even after the lamps have been unplugged.
